Your first orthodontist visit is an exciting time! We make sure our patients and their families feel cared for, comfortable, and relaxed at every single appointment. We strive to create a fun environment. Visits shouldn’t feel like a chore!

We typically take some digital photographs and x-rays at the initial consultation and most importantly, Dr. Galkin performs a comprehensive orthodontic exam to determine each patient’s needs.This helps us make a diagnosis and develop a plan of treatment.

Dr. Galkin will then sit with you and answer any of the questions that you may have about your treatment options.

If you’re getting braces, expanders, Invisalign®, etc., your initial appointment will require a longer visit than normal. Typically we tell patients to expect 45-90 minutes. After this, you’ll come in for 15-30 minute adjustment visits every 6-8 weeks for braces patients and 2-3 months for Invisalign patients. We try to schedule longer appointments in the morning or early afternoon, to help accommodate more patients for our after-school time slot.

We work closely with you to determine the best payment plan for your budget, including no-interest, monthly payment plans, and more. Each case requires different treatments on which cost is based.

We will discuss this all during the consultation appointment, to make the most of your time and ensure that everything is clear, before starting any treatment.

We participate with most major dental insurance companies. Insurance benefits will be confirmed by our team so that we can explain your benefits to you at your consultation appointment.

Once treatment is started, we will bill your insurance for any treatment that is done and assist with any questions that may arise.
